4 shops burnt into ashes in a massive fire at Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary

BISHALGARH:

A massive fire had gutted at least 4 shops at the entrance of Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary at Charilam early on Monday.

A loss of around Rs. 20 to Rs. 25 lakhs was reported from the incident of fire, where three shops were completely gutted and another was partially damaged, said locals.

Soon after the fire broke out, the concerned authority of the wildlife sanctuary alarmed the fire engines of Bishalgarh. Later the fire was brought under control with the intervention of fire crews.

The incident had triggered panic among the shop owners who were distributed with the shops by a Self Help Group. The Bishalgarh police is currently investigating the incident to unearth the cause of fire.
