25,895 candidates appeared for HS (+2) board exam in Tripura

A total of 25,895 candidates have sat for the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) run Higher Secondary (+2) board examination which has begun from Monday.

A total of 26,629 candidates were enrolled for the first day’s English paper examination. A press communiqué of the TBSE stated that a total of 13,210 male candidates and 12,685 female candidates have sat for the examination.

It also stated that one candidate has been suspended from giving examination for violating the board norms.

However, the TBSE run Madhyamik HS (+2), Madrasa Fazil Arts and Madrasa Fazil Theology has kicked off from Monday on 60 centres and 86 examinations venues across the state whereas the examinations for Madhyamik (secondary) and Madrasa Alim shall begin from March 3, 77 centres and 186 examination venues. 

Both the examinations will ends on March 31st and March 21st respectively. Board president Dr Bhabatosh Saha and other board members have inspected the examination centres on Monday and greeted the candidates to hope for better performance compared to previous years.

Polling begins for Tripura East LS constituency

Election officials said that around 14 lakh electorate, including 6.94 lakh female voters, are eligible to cast their votes in 1,664 polling stations in different districts of the state to decide the fate of nine candidates in the politically crucial parliamentary seat.
