Hundreds of terminated teachers under the banner of All Tripura Sarkari (government) ad-hoc 10,323 Sikshak (Teachers) Sanghatan today took to the streets and submitted a five point chartered of demand to Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb.
The demands included permanent solution of the teachers who were terminated followed by a Supreme Court order, 7th pay scale, die in harness facility and regularized pay scale for those who have completed 5 years of fixed pay.
The 10,323 teachers, who are now appointed in ad-hoc basis till March 2020 have claimed that the BJP party had assured of permanent solution of their plight of the party comes to power but till date no steps were taken to resolve their plight. Amid harsh weather hundreds of teachers and their family members marched in the roads surfacing their demands.
Speaking to the media, president of the outfit said "In the BJP's party manifesto (vision document) they have promised that they will resolve our problems and will regularize us. But, no noticeable steps have been taken till date. The family members and 10,323 teachers played key role in forming this government. We didn't vote for the CPIM as they betrayed us through their falsified recruitment policy. Earlier, several in several occassions we gave letters to the Chief Minister seeking appointment but he did not replied. We are with the government and we feel this government will solve our problems".
