Along with rest of the nation, the Indian Society of Radiographer Technologists on Thursday observed the World Radiography Day at Agartala. A rally was marched upon at the capital town to mark the day.
To mark the anniversary of the discovery of X-rays accidently by a German physicist Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen, November 8 is celebrated worldwide as World Radiography Day.
However, the day is observed every year to promote radiography as a career, as a vital contribution to modern healthcare and as a chance to increase public awareness of diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy.
