Under 23 Practice match: Chhattisgarh takes lead

AGARTALA:

Chhattisgarh took first innings lead against Tripura in the Under 23 practice match due to a brilliant hundred by Mayank Wadar.

Tripura scored 226 in their first innings while in reply at the end of day two today Chhattisgarh made 331 for the loss of 4 wickets. Chhattisgarh started day two from their overnight score of 26/0.

Openers Sangit Soni (43) and Anuj Tiwary (40) played well. From that position the whole team has been provided much needed oxygen by Mayank Wadar and Anupam Tappu. Mayank scored his hundred from 182 balls with 15 fours and 3 sixes and went out for 103.

At the end of day two Chhattisgarh made 331 for the loss of 4 wickets. Anupam Tappu remained unbeaten on 86 and Shaban Khan scored unbeaten 43.

Among the Tripura bowlers Tapas Mandol picked up 3 wickets.
