Keshab Sangha produced some outstanding display of football today and lifts the title of the ongoing Third division league football tournament organized by Tripura Football association. In the final match which has been held at Swami Vivekananda stadium, Keshab Sangha broke the pride of Saroj Sangha and registered an emphatic victory by 3-2.
After becoming unbeaten champion under the guidance of Coach Shyamal Bhowmik, Keshab Sangha became eligible to play in the second division football tournament after a gap of long 10 years. From the players to the coaching stuff and the club members, all have been very much delighted with the performance from the team and started their celebration.
In this exciting final encounter of the tournament today Saroj Sangha midfielders also played vital role to make the opposition stay in the match as after watching the match it seemed to be transformed that there was no midfield section for Saroj Sangha as all the players put average performance in the match. In the end after went so much close Saroj Sangha lost the match.
On the other before the start and during the match heavy rain spoiled the condition of the field as players from both the teams failed to show smooth performance in the match. But still both the teams started well and have the intense to play well in this big final. In between this also Keshab Sangha players started to play with dominance from the start.
In the opening minute of the match an outstanding shot by Sajan Mia from 25 yards missed by the opposition goal keeper which resulted to the opening goal for Keshab Sangha. After scoring the opening goal quickly, the confidence level of the Keshab players went high and once again in the 22nd minute another brilliant shot from Sajan Mia missed the goal post by narrow margin.
But in the 38th minute Saroj Sangha succeeded to equalize when Kotal Jamatia scored the goal from the centre shot by Jasoa Marak. First half ended up with the score of 1-1. In the second half also Keshab Sangha players continued their dominance as in the 57th minute of the match Sabbir Mia scored the second goal for Keshab from the throw by Masum Ahmed.
6 minutes later Sahajalal Mia scored the third goal and almost cemented their position well in the match but in the 83rd minute an awkward incident took place as Sabbir Mia of Keshab and Samarjit Reang of Saroj witnessed red card. Just before the end of the match Saroj Sangha scored their second goal but in the end Keshab Sangha won the match by 3-2 and with this also lifts the title.
