The inhabitants of Khadimpara at Churaibari who are suffering from various physical problems from dust released by illegal stone crashing machine have submitted memorandum to TIDC Chairman Tinku Roy to take action against the illegal traders.
Sources said that the illegal traders of stone chips are polluting the environment defying law and order on one side while they are depriving the labourers on the other side. Abdul Malik of Purba Fulbari Gram Panchayat is continuing crashing of stone illegally by setting crashing machine without giving any importance to the problem of poor people. He also joined hand with the leaders of ruling party to continue illegal activity.
As a result hundreds of poor people including people of minority community are suffering from sound pollution due to higher sound of the machine.
Besides, the students of adjacent school are facing lot of disturbance to study due to huge sound. Despite this children and middle aged and old persons are suffering from breathing problem from dust released by the machine.
The owner has no pollution or no- objection certificate. The machine is also hampering the income of labourers at adjacent areas. At the same time the administration is maintaining silence. Observing the situation, about 100 local people have submitted memorandum to TIDC Chairman Tinku Roy to take action against the owner.
