At least 16 students donated blood at blood donation camp organized by Sabroom subdivision committee of SFI today on the occasion of 49th foundation day. The camp was organized at a house of Anandapara at 11 a.m.
State Secretary of SFI Sandipan Deb, President and secretary of SFI at Sabroom subdivision Biswajit Chakraborty, Suprakash Goswami, State leader Debajyoti Bhattacharjee, former student leader Dipak Choudhury, youth leader Subhash Nath, women leader Rita Kar, Ranjana Basak, Farmer leader Ranji Dey were attended the programme.
Speaking on the occasion Sandipan Dey said, SFI set an example in the state in blood donation to fulfill humanitarian and social needs. In such a turbulent political situation the police administration did not give permission to DYFI to organize blood donation. On failing get assistance of police for blood donation the programme has been organized secretly at a house.
Criticizing the non cooperation of the state government for a social work Deb said, it is an utter failure of the state government.
