Day after the declaration of candidates list for both the parliamentary constituencies, IPFT supremo NC Debbarma today declined to comment on the future of BJP-IPFT coalition saying that Lok Sabha election is the main point to be focused right now.
Speaking to the correspondent over phone, Debbarma said, after rounds of meetings the BJP has denied to give away the East Lok Sabha constituency to the IPFT. Moreover, the narrow scope of dialogue that we have kept is also over now as the BJP has reported to have finalized their candidates as per latest updates.
While asked on the future of the coalition, NC said, we are now focusing on the elections. After the elections, we will possibly take a final call on the future of BJP-IPFT coalition, he added.
In the meantime, there is a massive outburst in the social media regarding this issue. Since the candidates list was out, social media posts seeking immediate resignation from the IPFT ministers started rolling in.
The Minister however remained tight-lipped to pass any comment over the issue.
The BJP sources, on the other hand, said, BJP is offering full liberty to the IPFT. And there is no pressure from the part of BJP on any of the cabinet ministers for at least resignation, the source added.
