The old wounds of Ambassa subdivision is still prevailing in spite of development of the subdivision to Dhalai District Headquarter and formation of municipal council. Meanwhile thousands houses of people constructed in the subdivision by occupying thousands of acre tilla land of Forest department during last three decades. Cutting of soil of tilla land is still going on with the extension of habitation of people. As a result soil of tilla land is depositing on National Highway after a little shower of rain in the subdivision.
Consequently, water logging is going on increasing on National Highway. The national highway has been taking a shape of river with high current at time of rain during last three decades. But no solution came out although the last Chief Ministers were aware of the problem. Higher level Engineers of the state prepared drama of sending DPR for development of drainage system at least 10 times but no results produced.
Present MLA Parimal Debbarma also assured to solve the problem of last three decades if BJP comes into power. At last after 10 months of the new government MLA Debbarma appeared in the ground with high level engineers. He visited the area with the Engineers of National Highway, District head of PWD, Divisional head and DM on January 3.
Meanwhile Dhalai District Head of PWD Pankaj Sutradhar said, we will send DPR to higher authority for permanent solution of drainage system. The department will start work after sanction of fund.
