Mata Tripureswari Temple of Dhalai district Sadar completed 28 years this year. Offering of puja started at the temple in the morning on December 8. Distribution of Prasad continued among hundreds of devotees’ every day.
The three days puja will be ended today. Tribal Priest Krishna Debbarma offered puja everyday with great devotion. Hundreds of devotees from Jagannathpur and adjacent area participated in the puja in a joyous mode.
Observing the enthusiasm of devotees Krishna Debbarma expressed his happiness to our local correspondent. He said, “The temple founded in 1991 with my initiative. Later idol of Mother Tripureswari was set up in the temple. The temple completed 28 years today. The temple is situated nearby Ambassa –Gandacherra Road. Now new generation is coming forward to offer puja to the Mother”.
A mixed habitat of tribal and non tribal section is dwelling at Jagannathpur. All set up the Mata Tripureswari at hut made of bamboo. Later on the population of non tribal section reduced in the area. But attraction towards the Mother has not reduced a bit. Now effort is going on to give the temple a permanent shape.
Krishna Debbarma further said, “I have set up idol of Maa here after witnessing Maa in dream. Since then puja and Mela is being organized here every year.” Except puja different entertaining programmes like songs, music organized here during mela. Large numbers of people were gathered here from remote areas.
He said, “Puja offered to mother according to rituals during Shyama Puja. Besides puja offered to mother in every New Moon day. Although regular puja offered to Mother everyday by offering traditional Bhog mixing rice and banana. Krishna Debbarma said, “each and every family extends their hand as much as possible to offer their contribution for the temple. We want publicity of the puja all over the state.”
