Movement Against Citizenship Amendment Bill (MAACAB) 2016 committee, a joint platform of several likeminded political and apolitical organizations that are against the Bill will once again take to the streets demanding withdrawal of the bill.
Leader of the committee, Jagaddish Debbaarma told media, “The Bill is set to be tabled in the Rajya Sabha tomorrow and if it is passed, the consequences will turn the North Eastern states as a dumping ground, we cannot let that happen”.
Meanwhile, according to sources, a protest rally will be organized followed by a sit-in at Jampuijala under Sepahijala district. AICC national secretary Pradyot Kishore Devbarma will address the rally.
