INPT defers gratefulness rally on Feb 18 following Pulwama attack

AGARTALA:

The tribal based Indigenous Nationalist Party of Tripura has deferred its gratefulness rally on February 18 in view of the Jammu's Pulwama terror attack, where over 40 CRPF jawans were killed.

Addressing a press conference on Saturday at Agartala Press Club, the INPT chief Bijoy Hrangkwal informed that on February 18, the INPT was scheduled to hold its gratefulness rally to thank the citizens of North East on putting more impetus towards restricting the Citizenship Ammendment Bill - 2016 pass in the Rajya Sabha.  

He said on the intervention of Maharaja Pradyot Kishore Manikya the next date shall be finalised for the gratefulness rally.

Polling begins for Tripura East LS constituency

Election officials said that around 14 lakh electorate, including 6.94 lakh female voters, are eligible to cast their votes in 1,664 polling stations in different districts of the state to decide the fate of nine candidates in the politically crucial parliamentary seat.
