One habilder of Dharmanagar Police Station is still collecting ransom from the sellers of illicit liquor and ganja from different hidden places of Dharmanagar town in spite of call of Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb to build addiction free Tripura and frequent transfer of higher officials from the police station.
Sources said that habilder Raju Das has been collecting ransom from the liquor and ganja sellers at Railway Station premises, Old Motor Stand area or sometimes from Purba Bazar. He goes for collecting Hapta regularly by driving the car of the police station in the evening.
A section of people alleged that Dharmanagar Police Station adopted new policy of collecting ransom by habilder cum driver changing the previous policy. Otherwise the driver had no capacity to act like that.
Now all the illicit traders including teer gamblers, Jandimunda, country liquor, addiction tablet came under reach of hand of habilder Raju Das.
At the same time police is in hibernation when large quantity of country liquor and other addictions entering at Dharmanagar.
