Exit of over 1000 BJP workers shall not affect prospect of BJP, says Biplab

AGARTALA:

Reacting over the issue of the departure of over 1000 BJP supporters and joining the congress which perhaps got a boost in Tripura in wake of the crucial assembly election, the BJP state president Biplab Deb today felt that their exit shall not affect the prospects of the BJP here in the state.

Deb said, “Those group have actually joined the BJP with a hope that they would gain in their personal business from the party and few of them had a dream to contest this election,” adding to this Deb said, “This perhaps would not put any impact on the current prospect of our party.”

Ahead of forthcoming assembly election, more than 1000 BJP workers in the party recently joined the congress. The team had disassociated from Congress about a year ago and joined in BJP led by former State president of NSUI Mujibur Islam Majumdar and they re-entered in Congress accusing BJP of not following democratic norms of functioning and persuading communal politics.
