High on confident after their opening match win against Jammu and Kashmir, Tripura Under 19 team will play their second match from tomorrow in the ongoing Cooch Behar trophy under 19 cricket tournament. Tripura will face Hyderabad in their second match as the match will be held at Gymkhana stadium in Hyderabad. Both the teams did their final preparations today as this will be a crucial match for both the teams to stay alive in the tournament.
Though Tripura thrashed Jammu in their opening match by 6 wickets but on the other hand host Hyderabad shared points with Vidarbha in their opening match and thus very much desperate to grab full points from the match at their home turf. While similarly Tripura camp is in no mood to give anything easily as they also very much desperate to continue their good form in the tournament as currently Tripura has been placed at no 1 position in the points table.
As per the wicket is concern the 22 yards is full of green grass which might assist the fast bowlers for some period of time in the morning. But as per the Tripura management if the batsmen can show their intent to stick on the wicket then slowly it will become batting paradise for the batsman that’s for sure. As per the primary decision Tripura will chose to bat if they win the toss tomorrow but the final XI and about all necessary decisions will be made tomorrow morning.
Today in the final practice session Tripura team spent around three hours which started with conditioning, and then it continued with fielding practice while the session ended with net practice. In the opening match Arup Datta slammed a hundred in the second innings and guided Tripura to a famous victory as tomorrow also coach will plan accordingly keeping Arup in front. Manager Ajoy Narayan Dey admitted about all the players’ positive intent with the match.
