Veteran Congress leader and former Central Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi died at 12-10 p.m. at Apollo Hospital today. He was in coma stage for 9 years. He died at the age of 72. He survived by his wife and former Central Minister Dipa Dasmunsi, one and only son and innumerable political well-wishers.
On being informed about the death of the leader Pradesh Congress president of state Birjit Sinha rushed to Congress Bhavan and ordered to keep party flag and flag of sub –organs half mast at all Congress party offices for three days.
