Tripura Pradesh BJP demanded intervention of the Central Government observing deteriorated situation of law and order of the state.
Meanwhile BJP president Biplab Deb informed Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh about the latest situation of the state describing the murder of the Deputy Commandant of BSF 145 No Battalion Dipak Kumar Mandal by cattle smugglers recently, said vice president of State BJP Subal Bhowmik at a press conference at Pradesh BJP Office today. The press meet was attended by BJP leaders Kalyani Roy and Ashok Sinha.
Referring to the incidents of Journalist Santanu Bhowmik’s murder, abduction of driver Jiban Debnath, Bhowmik alleged that the incidents of continuous attack on BJP workers and supporters, ransacking and burning BJP office increased in the state since September 20.
Earlier some BJP workers were murdered and many injured in clash with ruling party.
Speaking to media Bhowmik said Centre is quite aware of the situation of Tripura. He said, common people have no security in the state while assembly poll is 100 days away from now. Referring free and peaceful election is not possible in the state under rule of Left Front Government he said, mafia, and smugglers introduced parallel administration in the state. Raising the allegation of communication of some ruling MLAs with smugglers he alleged that funds are going to party fund from the smugglers. He demanded high level investigation of Deputy Commandant’s murder.
Spokes person of Pradesh BJP Ashoke Sinha said, Chief Minister has not felt necessity of showing condolence on death of BSF Deputy Commandant who are engaged protection of border of the state. He added that Chief Minister has no right of holding his post.
