BJP Bordowali Mandal Committee on Monday blocked road at Milan Sangha raising voice against the poor condition of the road between Battala and Drop Gate. It is to be mentioned here that demonstration began at Milan Sangha from 11AM.
Raising voice the BJP Mandal Committee demanded immediate renovation of the road in the entire stretch within next 15 days. Addressing the media, the BJP Mandal Committee member stated that the situation of road is so poor that even calling it a road is disgrace to roads!
The connecting road is left is critical condition and the common people are the worst sufferer due to the lack of maintenance of the road. Poor road condition with ditches, pot holes has made the road immovable. The entire stretch is getting worse by the day. The daily travelling is not only frustrating, but a harrowing experience. Loading and unloading of the passengers at the no-parking zone created mismanagement in the entire stretch.
There has also been a noticeable growth in spinal injuries among people who ride two wheelers while other spinal problems have increased among drivers irrespective of the vehicle, the leader stated.
Potholed roads are a common sight across the entire stretch especially during and after rains. However, the protestors stated that they have got namesake assurance many times but so far no action is taken. The protestors stated that if this time, renovation work doesn’t starts soon they will stage massive protest in the coming days.
