State Government is working to provide health service everywhere in the state, said Health minister Badal Choudhury while inaugurating the two storied building of Jampuijala Primary Health Centre.
He said, “At present 97 Primary Health Centres are functioning in the state. More eight PHCs will be opened in the state within September this year.”
Opening the 10 bedded new building of PHC by lighting lamp and untying ribbon Health minister said that the PHC would be up graded to 50 beds step by step in days to come and initiative would be taken to develop it to subdivision hospital.
He appealed all to take forward the legacy of development by maintaining peace and harmony. Referring the State Government laid emphasize on education and health sector he said that the state has topped the country in literacy rate. Meanwhile the Government has opened two Medical Colleges, degree colleges and technical colleges at different subdivisions to access education to the students of the state.
He added, “Once development of the area was disrupted due to terrorist activity. However peace and harmony returned again here by the united effort of democracy and peace loving people. Initiatives of providing communication, drinking water, electricity, education and health are going on at full swing”.
Referring the target of the state government to upgrade socio economic status of deprived people he stressed on continuing development. He further said, works of the state government are going on keeping in mind that none should suffer from starvation and people of all section could get the facilities of education and health.
