The 37th Agartala Book Fair shall commence from February 15 with a theme - Glorious Tripura. The governor Kaptan Singh Solanki and chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb will ritually inaugurate the fair. A preparatory committee meeting held on Monday has decided the schedule.
The meeting was chaired by the MLA Ashish Shah who informed that this year the theme of these 12 days long Agartala Book Fair shall be Glorious Tripura and publishers from different parts of the nation including neighbouring Bangladesh shall take party in this fair.
The deputy chief minister Jishnu Debbarman will preside over the inaugural function along with chairperson of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dr Prafullajit Sinha. There will be altogether 122 book stalls of various categories-large, big, medium and small. However, the fair will end on February 26th.
