Police from Mungiakami and Teliamura Police Station recovered 2270 bottles of drug known as ESCUF cough syrup from a car which met an accident at Teliamura today.
Acting on secret information police set secretly at Mungiakami Bazar along with members of a club which is organizing Kalipuja. Later police followed the Bolero car (TR 01 AA-0496). At a time the car overturned at Biswakarma ghat area when tire of one wheel of the car punctured at time of fleeing from the range of police.
The driver fled away when the police arrived on the spot. Then police conducted raid on the car are recovered 2270 bottles ESKUF Cough Syrup. Market value of the cough syrup is Rs. 6 lakh. Meanwhile police filed a case according to Section NDPS.
In the meantime confusion created among police with the numbers of cough syrup. A special source of police said that 16 cartoons recovered from the car where 160 bottles were in each cartoon which shows that 2560 bottles of ESCUF were in the car. As a result a dispute created among police while the number reduced to 2270 bottles.
