Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Saturday said that the people in the poll bound Dhanpur Assembly constituency have realized their mistakes and said that they will rectify it by giving vote to BJP in the upcoming by-election.
Addressing a mass gathering at Kathalia under Dhanpur Assembly Constituency, Dr Saha said that the double engine BJP government is working for the basic needs of the people.
“During 2023, many people have said that they will form the government but again the BJP-IPFT government has formed the government with the blessings of the people. By-elections are going to be held in Dhanpur and in Boxanagar. And during door-to-door people are saying that they have chosen the wrong path earlier but now they will rectify their fault by giving votes to BJP. Our party is always with the people of the state. Our government always thinks about people but the previous government ruled the state just to create problems. And played the politics of divide and rule but our government believes in ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas’”, said Dr Saha.
Dr Saha also said that BJP and the present state government never see people based on religion and caste.
“To make Ek Tripura Srestha Tripura we have to work unitedly. We have also increased the amount of social pension. Some people have thought that they will only do politics by making people fool. They have destroyed the holiness of the Assembly with their unruly behaviour and now teamed up with CPIM. In this by election they also held a secret meeting and then Congress leaders are saying that they are not receiving any invitation for the campaigning. What kind of meeting was it? “, said the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister further said that people’s confidence has grown in BJP as many people have left Congress and CPIM and joined BJP.
“We are the government to solve people's problems, not to create problems. You people have seen how the previous CPIM government has created problems”, Dr Saha added.
BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya, Janajati Kalyan Department Minister Bikas Debbarma, MoS Partima Bhoumik, Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath and others were present.
