Villagers suffers for damaged road

AGARTALA:

After 25 years of golden age the Diamond era have come to the state in the last three and half years ago. Although there are some capital-based developments, a slightly different picture emerges across the state, a little away from the capital.

Roads in rural areas of the state became impassable due to light rains. Such a picture was captured in Ward No. 6 of Baidyar Dighi Gram Panchayat under Bishalgarh RD Block. For the last seven years, the road from Chandannagar No. 2 in Ward No. 6 of Baidyar Dighi Gram Panchayat under Bishalgarh RD Block to Ashram Road has been in a dilapidated condition. After a little rain the road becomes muddy. It’s totally impossible to walk on. Locals have repeatedly complained to the leaders of various political parties, starting from the people's representatives of the area, but nothing has been done.

Talking to the Gram Panchayat of Baidyar Dighi about this, the panchayat informed that the tender has been issued and the work will start in a few days. The story of this tender has been heard by the people of this area for the last seven years. But in reality there was no reflection of it. The problems that the people of this area have been suffering from since the golden age, whether it ends in the diamond age or the misery of the common people, remain in that whale.
