Two held with cannabis in Dharmanagar

As a part of the Nesha Mukt Tripura drive, North District Police made incredible achievements against drug trafficking today.

Based on secret information, today at about 1600 hrs, Debasish Saha, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Dharmanagar, accompanied by Inspector Dhrubajyoti Debbarma, Officer-in-Charge, Churaibari Police Station, and other officers and staff detained one vehicle bearing Registration No.WB59-B- 3256(Truck) in front of Churaibari Police Station Naka point on NH-8. During a thorough search of the vehicle, police recovered 560 Kgs of dry ganja.

Accordingly, Police seized the same with the said vehicle and arrested the driver of the vehicle namely Fulsad Seikh (36) and co-driver namely Sirajul Seikh (26) both are residents of Murshidabad, West Bengal.

In this connection a specific case under NDPS Act, 1985 is being registered at Churaibari Police Station for further course of legal action.
