As the state celebrates the Tripura Statehood Day on Sunday, the Indian Bengali academician, former professor, politician and writer from Agartala Prof Arunoday Saha and a highly esteemed figure in the realm of Kokborok literature Naresh Chandra Debbarma were conferred with Tripura Vibhushan and Tripura Bhusan award respectively.
The two renowned figure of the state were conferred with the award on the occasion of the celebration of Tripura Statehood Day here at Agartala Rabindra Bhavan on Sunday.
Apart from Tripura Vibhushan and Tripura Bhushan award, Professor (Dr.) Shantipada Gan Chowdhury received the State Citizen Award for his special contribution to science and environmental protection. Sachin Debbarman Memorial Award conferred to Kaberi Majumdar Gupta, Maharani Kanchanprabha Devi Memorial Honor has been given to Rita Roy.
Ajay Roy of Baikhora received the Sunagarik award among the 10 statehood day awards in the event. The Best Emerging Enterprise Award was given to D&D Learning LLP, Banmalipur. Ajit Das of Kalyanpur received the award for best agriculture and horticulture. Paresh Malakar of Kumarghat received the award for the best fishery. Dutta Composite Livestock Farms of Jolaibari won the award for Best Animal Husbandry. Subodh Chandra Roy of Indranagar, Agartala received the Best Rural Art award. G- Cube Sticks and G-Cube Ventures Pvt Ltd of RK Nagar Industrial Area received the Industry Effort Award. Assistant Professor of Khowai Dashrath Dev Mahavidyalaya received the award for best teaching. Pankaj Chakraborty. Jampuijala Lamps Limited won the Best Cooperative Society award. Agartala Ilgitron Technologies Pvt Ltd got the best mobile app award.
