Tripura board eyes on CBSE’s evaluation to decide on Class 10, 12 board examinations

AGARTALA:

To decide upon holding board examinations for Class 10 and Class 12 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) now eyes on Central Board of Secondary Education’s (CBSE’s) evaluation scheme.

“We shall wait for the evaluation of CBSE for another week prior we move on to decide upon conducting the board examinations here in our state,” said education minister Ratan Lal Nath.

He said, “In addition to this we shall also wait for the nod from the state health department on this issue. The final decision is expected on June 21, 2021.”

Earlier, TBSE Madhyamik exams 2021 were scheduled to be conducted from May 19, 2021, whereas, the TBSE Class 12 exams 2021 were all set to be held from May 18, 2021.

However, the exams were later cancelled due to a surge in COVID-19 cases in the state. On May 19, the Tripura government decided to promote all the students of Classes 1 to 4, 6, and 7 to the higher classes without exams. The Board also intimated that the examination of respective classes will be held once the school reopens to ensure the evaluation.
