Tripura board examinations 2021 cancelled due to COVID situation: Edu Minister

In view of the prevailing COVID situation in the state, the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) has cancelled all its examination for the year 2021 ensuring safety for the students. The examinations for Class 10 and Class 12 and others were earlier postponed after the state reported surge in Coronavirus cases.

Government shall form an expert panel to initiate the process of evaluation process for promotion of the board students to higher classes, said education minister Ratan Lal Nath on Saturday.

Nath told reporters, “The results of the board examination will be declared on July 31 and if any student is not satisfied with the results, they can appear in the exam when the situation is conducive.”

A total of 73,818 students were enrolled for the secondary and higher secondary examination. This includes 46,613 students from Class X and 27,205 from Class 12.

The board examinations were scheduled on May 18 this year which were later postponed in view of the surging cases of Coronavirus in the state.
