In order to be a full and developed citizen, students have to develop quality learning experience in their childhood, said education minister Ratan Lal Nath on Thursday.
Nath today unveiled the pre-primary book cover for students and teachers of Khudiram Bose English Medium School today.
He said, "The early years of life need to be made inspirational and education friendly. So that children can be inspired to learn later in life."
Speaking on the occasion, Education Minister Mr. Nath further said that according to the national education policy, a 3-year pre-primary level curriculum has been formulated in the state. "Daily handouts are also planned, including a teacher's handbook, to facilitate teaching," he said.
Meanwhile, he said that the state government has planned to open the pre-primary level in 200 more schools in the next academic year. At present, there are 88 schools in the state with pre-primary level. Earlier it was in only 9 schools.
Chandani Chandran, Principal, Department of Basic Education, Keshab Kar, Joint Principal, Basanti Bhattacharya, Headmistress of the school, and other teachers of the school remained present in the unveiling function organised by NCERT.
