Highlighting a pivotal stride towards women's empowerment, Sushanta Chowdhury, the Minister of Food and Civil Supply, affirmed today that the Tripura government is actively spearheading initiatives to amplify women's engagement in society and bolster income generation.
Chowdhury underscored that since the inception of the new regional administration, there has been a discernible upswing in endeavours aimed at harnessing the potential of women through diverse self-reliance ventures, with a specific emphasis on self-help groups.
"Guided by the dynamic leadership of the government, the momentum behind uplifting mothers is steadily gaining traction. This achievement is the outcome of cultivating an environment conducive to self-sufficiency and leveraging the abundant opportunities that empower women to excel. An instrumental platform in driving this empowerment is the burgeoning expansion of self-help groups, which have observed remarkable expansion in recent times," he articulated.
Chowdhury conveyed these sentiments while addressing a gathering of mothers and sisters hailing from various self-help groups, congregated at the Manikyanagar Gitanjali Community Hall, situated within the Boxanagar Assembly Constituency.
