Acting on secret information Officer of Forest Department in North district, Subdivision Forest Officer of Panisagar Forest department and police of Kadamtala Police Station conducted a raid at house Faiyaj Ali and Maharam Ali near Kalacherra Block at about 12 p.m. today.
They recovered 40 cubic ft sized teak wood from both the houses. Market value of the teak wood is more than one lakh rupees. Although, police have failed to arrest anyone in connection with the smuggling.
