Allegation of beating one woman brutally within daylight raised against a former VC member of CPM and his companions. Sources said that an injured tribal house wife is laying without treatment at her house during last 22 days after beating.
At last the woman has been shifted to Teliamura District Hospital today. The name of woman Jamati Reang wife of Jatila Reang.
The incident took place when the women protested against shifting her from charge of cook of mid-day-meal at Hazra Para S.B. School. The CPM leader and Village Committee Member of shifted the woman from charge of cook in allegation of supporting opposition party before 3 months of assembly poll.
The woman went to the school to know why she had been shifted from her duty after 4 months of fall of Left Front. But the school authority failed to give any satisfactory reply. The disheartened woman came back to house on July 16. On the next day she went to bring ration items from ration shop keeping her ill husband at home.
CPM leader Dasharath Reang and some cadres called her at a market shed and beat her brutally there. Later on police arrested the accused persons from Mungiakami Police Station after filing case against them.
Later on Pradhan of the village Sarkarjoy Reang released the accused person from police station to settle the matter in Kangaroo court. The heads of the village bound the woman to withdraw case by creating pressure and assured that accused persons would bear all expenses of her treatment. But none came forward for treatment of the woman even after withdrawing the case. After publishing the news the accused persons shifted the ill women at Teliamura Hospital.
