Diwali festival and fair will be held on October 24 and 25 at Tripurasundari temple premises in Matabari, Udaipur.
Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha will inaugurate the festival and fair on October 24 evening. Rajya Sabha MP and former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb will participate in the Brahma Aarti at Kalyan Sagar in the morning on October 24, Gomati District Magistrate Govekar Mayur Ratilal said this in a press conference at Tripurasundari temple premises today.
He said in the press conference that Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha will participate in the evening aarti on October 24 at 5 pm.
In the press conference, Chairman of Festival and Fair Committee, MLA Biplab Kumar Ghosh sought everyone's cooperation to complete the Diwali festival smoothly.
In the press conference, the District Magistrate also said that all preparations have been made to complete the Diwali festival in Tripurasundari temple.
“Every important place will be monitored through CCTV. Volunteers will be engaged to avoid crowding in the temple premises due to the ongoing renovation and infrastructural development work in the temple premises. Besides, NDRF forces and civic volunteers will also be present. More than 1,000 police and TSR jawans will be in charge of security at the fair”, he said.
District Additional Superintendent of Police F Darlong said in a press conference that security has been strengthened in Matabari on the occasion of Diwali festival. Additional District Magistrate Pankaj Chakraborty was present at the press conference.
