Second Division Super Knock out: Ramkrishna defeats Kalyan in tie Breaker, to face Town in Q2

Ramkrishna Club today defeated Kalyan Samiti in the second match of the super knock out stage of the ongoing Second division league football tournament organized by Tripura Football association. Ramkrishna won the match in the tie breaker by 4(1)-3(1) and thus they will play against Town club in the qualifier 2 which will be held on August 31. The winner of Qualifier 2 will move to the final and will face Birendra Club in the final on September 3.

From the start of the match Ramkrishna Club started to play attacking football but in the second minute of the match Mukhil Reang missed the easiest chance of the match. But Mukhil soon rectified his fault as in the 15th minute from Sahajalal’s free kick Mukhil’s terrible shot directly stuck to the opposition net.

Ramkrishna advanced by 1-0 in the 15th minute of the match but they failed to grab that lead very long as just after 1 minute Kalyan Samiti scored the equalizer.

Gobinda Sadhan Jamatia scored the equalizer for Kalyan Samiti. After that Kalyan Samiti tried their best to go advance as they also took control in the midfield but failed to do so as Payar Jamatia missed some chances.

The match then headed towards 20 minutes extra time where both the teams failed to score goals. In the tie breaker Ramkrishna won the match by 4-3 and stayed in the tournament.
