The traditional Sanghati Mela going to start in Kailasahar from February 8 next under the initiative of the social organization “Ashraya”. This national Sanghati Mela started in 2001 has been playing a special role in keeping the harmony of Kailasahar intact.
The fair will continue till February 16. Merchants from the state and abroad bring various marketing items from the delicious food stalls. There will be a total of 150 stalls in the Solidarity Fair. For example, Youth, Elderly, Women, Health, Children's Day, etc. Every year the Sanghati Mela is named after the scholars.
This year, the Sanghati Mela will be held on the occasion of Netaji's 125th birth anniversary. Every evening there will be cultural programs with selected artists from the local and state. There will also be a sit-in competition, a speech competition, a reception for those who pass the first section of the secondary and higher secondary examinations, and various competitions.
The fair is being held at Vidyanagar Cricket Stadium every year but this year the Tripura Cricket Association has not been allowed to hold the fair, it is being held adjacent to the Airport.
The news was given at a press conference at 5 pm at the Solidarity Fair ground. Birajit Sinha, president of Ashraya Samaj and former MLA, Secretary Chandrasekhar Sinha, Unkoti Zilla Parishad Member Maha Badruzzaman, social worker Rudrendu Bhattacharya, Runu Mia and Cultural Secretary of the fair Asim Dutta present at the conference.
