The rubber board chairman Dr. Sawar Dhanania on Friday met the Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha here at Agartala and laid emphasis on growing the rubber industry in the state.
During the meeting, the chairman felt the necessity of growing rubber production in Tripura and growing the small-scale rubber industries. He emphasized on manufacturing rubber wood furniture through cluster methods in the state, as there is huge demand for rubber-wood furniture outside the state.
Joint Rubber Production Commissioner Shaileja K, Chairman of Tripura Rehabilitation Plantation Corporation Patalakanya Jamatia, and Principal Chief Forest Conservator K. S. Sethi among others were present in the meeting.
