Tourism minister Pranajit Sinha Roy visited different tourist spots of Udaipur and Amarpur today to develop the conditions of the spots and to make those more attractive tourists. Director Tourism Amit Sukla accompanied him during visit. He visited Amarsagar, Fatik Sagar, Chandi Sagarbari, Chabimura and Maharani Barrage.
At first he visited four banks of Jagannath Dighi at Udaipur for one and half hours. He instructed the officers of Tourism, PWD, RD and Forest to take necessary steps to preserve the lake. He said, no house or office will be allowed at four banks of Jagannath Dighi. Park will be constructed in the bank and Rangamati Cafeteria will be demolished.
Later the minister went to Amarpur along will officials. He instructed MLA Ranjit Das to take initiative to make Fatik Sagar and Amar Sagar more attractive. He instructed to talk with shopkeepers and house owners at east bank of Amarsagar and to vacate government land.
Then the minister went to Chabimura. But the journey was not easy as motor boat went out of order on Gomati. At last another boat rescued the minister and officials after one and half hours. But storm and rain disturbed the journey again.
The minister also visited Banduar Tourist destination before journey to Amarpur. The minister expressed resentment observing the condition of the broken windows and doors of the resort. However MLA Biplab Kumar Ghosh engaged one person to look after the resort.
