Acting on classified intelligence, Officer-in-Charge Vishnu Chandra Das and Sub-Inspector Shivashankar of Baikhora police station received a tip-off indicating an imminent wood smuggling operation near Nabashakti Club in Madhyapara, West Charrbai. Utilizing the timely information, the police team swung into action, intercepting the smuggling attempt late last night.
The suspect, identified as Ajit Das, was apprehended while in possession of stolen wood. The confiscated wood, along with the detained individual was subsequently transferred to the jurisdiction of Bagfa Forest Range.
