Border Security Force deployed in Tripura has detained one Bangladeshi and narcotics worth lakh rupee in the night intervening 28th and 29th August.
As per BSF Press release, in the night intervening 28th and 29th August on specific information of BSF, one Bangladeshi national was apprehended in the area of BOP Akhaura Check Post under District West Tripura while he was trying to enter Bangladesh territory by negotiating the border fence. Apprehended person is resident of Narayanganj District of Bangladesh.
The BSF further said that in separate operations BSF troops seized 26 kg Ganja from the area of BOP Bamutia under West Tripura District and in the area of BOP Rahimpur under District Sepahijala.
“BSF has stepped up domination and operation along the border in Tripura to prevent infiltration/ exfiltration and trans border crime”, it added.
