The programme of M.R. Vaccination is proceeding successfully in North District, said Chief Medical Officer of North Dr. Sankar Das at a press conference in Dharmanagar today.
He said, a target was fixed up to November 17 for vaccination of children from 9 months to 15 years. Meanwhile 96.43 percent of the target has been fulfilled, he added.
He further said, “Out of 1,08,293 children vaccination of 1,04,429 children has been covered in the meantime including 52,253 boys and 52,176 girls. The programme started in North district since September 15. Initially a time span of one month was fixed up. Later the programme extended up to November 26.” CMO expected that 98 percent target would be fulfilled within the time span.
From information it revealed that Dhalai district occupied first position in implementation of the vaccination programme till November 16. Besides, Unakoti, South and North district occupied second, third and forth position in implementation of the programme till the date.
