Rural Development and Forest minister Naresh Jamatia inaugurated newly constructed building of R.D. Department at Santirbazar yesterday. He inaugurated the building by lighting lamp at 3 p.m. in presence of Sabhadhipati of South district Himangsu Roy and DM of South C.K. Jamatia. Among others Minister of Jail Manindra Reang and SDM of Santirbazar Biswashree B were present among the distinguished guests.
The construction of the building started in December, 2013. An amount of Rs.74 lakh spent for construction of the building of Rural Development and godown. During speech the speakers highlighted about different development works of the state government.
Meanwhile bicycles handed over to 24 girls of class – IX at Paschim Bokafa H.S. School. Headmaster in charge Joybardhan Chakraborty, Vice Chairman of Bokafa Panchayat Samiti Aparn Dutta and Panchayat Pradhan of Kanchanpur Panchayat Gouri Karmakar were delivered speech during the programme. After speech the guests handed over bicycle to the girls.
