With the aim to play good football, Tripura Under 15 Boy’s team under the guidance of coach Puri Prasad Debbarma left for Manipur today to take part in Mir Iqbal Memorial East Zone Under 15 Football tournament by road. Coach looked very determined before their departure for the event.
The tournament will start from August 30 at Imphal as in this tournament Tripura has been placed in Group B along with two strong teams Manipur and Meghalaya. Tripura will play their opening match against Meghalaya on August 31 while their second and last match will be held onSeptember 2 against host Manipur.
Tripura team will arrive at the venue tomorrow and before their opening match Tripura will practice for one day. Though the team placed in a strong group but the players and also the coach looked very much hungry for win as with their expressions it looked very much clear that this will do something at Manipur.
Coach Puri Prasad Debbarma said,” I am strongly believe that the players did their home work and will not disappoint at all. This team has the ability to throw tough challenges to teams like Meghalaya and Manipur. But as this is the Junior tournament so it will be tough to say anything much early.”
