Responding to the concerns raised by the locals regarding the inadequate drainage system in Lal Bahadur Club area, Mayor Dipak Majumder of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) took immediate action and conducted an on-site inspection today.
The residents had expressed their distress over the drainage system getting inundated with even minimal rainfall, prompting them to bring this pressing issue to the attention of Mayor Dipak Majumder.
Accompanied by BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya, Councilor Ratna Dutta and other prominent figures from the area, Mayor Dipak Majumder visited Ward No. 22, where Lal Bahadur Club is located. During the visit on Friday various drainage-related challenges in the locality were observed and acknowledged.
Assuring swift action Mayor Majumder announced the upcoming construction of a box culvert in the vicinity of Lal Bahadur Club. This step is expected to significantly alleviate the water logging problems and improve the overall drainage infrastructure in the area.
In response to the public's concerns, Mayor Majumder expressed his commitment to resolving the issue promptly. He assured the residents that initiatives would be taken on a priority basis to address the drainage problems faced by the community.
