Tripura Police have recovered three bodies including a 3-year-old girl, of the same family inside a locked room at East Pilak Nabaram Para under South District.
Tripura Police sources said on Monday that a foul odor emanating from the house in TRPC Colony prompted neighbors to alert authorities.
“Upon arrival, police made a grisly discovery: two bodies lying in a pool of blood, while a third body was found hanging. The deceased have been identified as 30-year-old Biranta Tripura, his 24-year-old wife Shyama Tripura, and their 3-year-old daughter Alisa Tripura,” said the police.
Tripura Police suspect that the deaths occurred several days ago, with forensic evidence suggesting a possible murder-suicide.
“According to initial reports, Biranta may have fatally attacked his wife and daughter with a sharp weapon before taking his own life. The police, along with forensic experts and a magistrate, conducted an in-depth examination of the crime scene before sending the bodies to the morgue for post-mortem,” said the police.
