The Prime Minister is trying to empower the country’s farmer and the government declared different schemes in order to double farmer’s income in the long run. Not only agriculture but also the agriculture and allied sectors are being given importance by the central government under the leadership of Narendra Modi” The Minister said.

Sudip Majumder, Founder of BAPCL said, “This type of initiative has taken by Punjab National Bank for the first time in history. Farmers need loan and they are availed loans through KCC. As the farmers of Tripura unable to show their land documents to the bank for loans, the banks unable to provide them an adequate loans. In this case JLG is the only way for farmers to collect loans from banks. Joint Liability Group (JLG) is a concept established in India in 2014 by the rural development agency National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) to provide institutional credit to small farmers. This is the first time in Tripura that the farmers have received the loan for agriculture from the bank through JLG under KCC”.
