Kajal Memorial Football Tournament: Tripura Sports School to face Mungiakami School in final

Tripura Sports School maintains their consistency and reached to their fourth consecutive final while on the other hand after a gap of long 8 years Mungiakami School earned a spot in the final of the ongoing Under 14 Kajal Memorial Football tournament organized by Tripura Football association. The final match will be held on June 11 at Swami Vivekananda stadium. Both the semifinal matches held today as in the first game Tripura Sports School defeated Sudhanna Debbarma School in the tie breaker by 5-4 while in the second semifinal match Mungiakami School defeated Ramnagar School by 2-0.

Tripura Sports school once again played with lots of dominance and continued their good record in this tournament as previously they won the title for three times. At Swami Vivekananda stadium today both the teams failed to score any goals in the stipulated 60 overs as in between this time both the teams got so many chances but failed to convert them to goals. On the other hand the scorching heat also played a big role today as neither of the players looked hundred percent in the field. The match went to the tie breaker where Tripura Sports school won by 5-4.

In the second semifinal at the same ground Mungiakami School defeated Ramnagar School in a tight match by 2-0. They made their place in the final 8 years later as last also they faced the same Tripura Sports school team in the final and ended as runners up. In the whole match today Mungiakami School played with sheer dominance but till the 45th minute failed to score any goals. In the 46th minute Muktamanik Jamatia scored the opening goal while in the last minute of the match Yudhyajit Debbarma scored the second goals and thus they won the match by 2-0.
