Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha today said that now a day’s people living in rural areas can also enjoy the various facilities of the city because of the welfare-oriented mindset of the state government.
“Town halls with advanced facilities are now being constructed not only in Agartala but also in other sub-divisional towns of the state”, said Dr Saha while inaugurating the newly built Bishalgarh Town Hall today.
He also laid the foundation stone of Bishalgarh Municipal Corporation's new office building today virtually. Rs 29.9 crore has been spent on the construction of the town hall.
Inaugurating the newly constructed town hall, Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha expressed hope that this town hall will become one of the fields of arts and culture in the future.
He said that this town hall will also play an important role in developing the traditional mixed culture of the state.
“As a result, a healthy and beautiful cultural environment will develop in the subdivision. The present government is working to provide daily facilities to the local people of the state. This government is implementing various development plans in the direction of reducing the dependence on the city so that people can take advantage of various opportunities locally”, said CM.
In the opening ceremony, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma said that this government is working for the overall development of the people.
“The state government is implementing various developmental plans for the socio-economic, cultural and mental development of the people of the state”, he said.
Bishalgarh Municipal Council Chairperson Anjan Purkayastha presided over the event. Among others present were Urban Development Corporation Limited Managing Director Shailesh Yadav, NBCC Chief General Manager Kedarnath Sarkar, Sepahijala District Superintendent of Police J Reddy, Additional District Magistrate Subhashis Bandyopadhyay and others.
