The Tripura government is providing jobs and employment by maintaining transparency and through proper recruitment policy, said finance minister Pranajit Singha Roy on Saturday.
The finance minister distributed offer letters among 11 newly recruited small savings inspectors here in the conference hall of the office of department of food and civil supplies at Agartala Gurkhabasti.
The Finance Minister Pranjit Singha Roy said that Small Savings Department is an important department of the state government. This office works to increase savings.
“If the CD ratio increases, we understand that banks are investing more. As a result, the development of the state is accelerated,” the minister said adding that various functions of central and state governments are done through banks. This department performs important duties in the development of the state, he added.
Referring to the issue of chit funds and micro finance organizations, the finance minister said that many people were cheated in chit funds before the present government came to power. According to the instructions of the Government of India, their properties are being auctioned and the money is being deposited in the government account. Efforts will be made to return them later, he said.
