District Education Office and Education Centre introduced at Kailashahar subdivision on 2004. The then government approved fund for increasing number of seat for the center at the building as B.Ed training became mandatory for teachers. The then Education minister Tapan Chakraborty laid foundation stone of the building on October 30 in 2015.
An amount of Rs. 5 crore approved by the then State Government to build up Education Office and Education Centre at the land of Industry department at Durgapur in Kailashahar. But the then state government did not sanction required fund after approval. As a result the contractor Binod Bihari Das stopped work of construction.
Meanwhile the new State Government approved fund for the project and construction work started from today. Works of land measurement is going on according to drawing. It is expected that the construction work will be completed within two years. Large number of teachers will get the facility of teachers training in the building.
