The fire affected farmer of Uttar Durganagar near Khowai border failed to get anything after getting written assurance from BSF to provide recompose.
The farmer Ful Mia filed written complaint at Khowai Police Station about the incident on December 9 after setting fire on his paddy at midnight on December 8. The news of setting fire on paddy of the farmer published at different news papers. After release of the news the BSF officials in- charges expressed their resentment.
After 7 days of the incident Ful Mia and local people alleged to media yesterday that BSF had not gave any compensation in spite of written assurance. Instead of that BSF collected written statement from Ful Mia that BSF was not involved with the incident of fire at crops. The complainer had wrongly involved BSF in the incident. The farmer and local people stated that they had not withdrawn the written complaint from Khowai Police Station. They also assured that they would withdraw the complain after getting compensation.
Meanwhile OC of Khowai Police Station Krishna Dhan Sarkar said, Ful Mia gave written statement to BSF. So his appeal has not been accepted as case.
Now Khowai Police Station will have to determine whose interest would be preferred while the poor farmer demanded compensation for his survival.
